FAIRY

I was parked outside My Mermaid’s & Sir Bob’s Cedar Mansion, in the magical Verona woods. It had been a long journey from Chicago. It was wonderful to park, roll down the windows, and breathe in the fresh country air. The daffodils and various other flowers were blossoming in abundance.

My cell phone rang. It was my mom. She was concerned if I had arrived to my destination safely. I assured her I had. I started to describe how beautiful My Mermaid’s garden was. As I was describing it, a wispy white figure began to descend from the top of a tree. It didn’t look like any bird or insect I’d ever seen before, that’s when I saw it’s tiny, human like feet extend beneath it. I did a double take. It wasn’t a bird. It was a fairy! A fairy!!!!

I was still on the phone with my mom when I saw it! I was so excited! I whisper yelled on the phone, “Mom! Mom! I see a fairy! A real fairy mom! It just landed at the base of a tree!” I described the fairy to her. It was almost transparent, yet translucent. It was totally white and opalescent. Its wings were elongated and delicate, like gossamer. Two of the wings went upwards, and two went downward. It was about 5-6 inches long. Its feet extended like a ballerina on her tiptoes. Its arms moving like an octopus in the water. It didn’t seem to have any hair, but it’s head was pointed at the top like an elf’s hat.

My mom giggled and responded, “Yes, I believe you! We have those in the Philippines! It’s good luck if you see one!”

I watched in awe, at the beauty of this tiny being dancing amongst the freshly bloomed daffodils. Then it caught sight of me, with its dark, elongated eyes. I swear it waved to me, then lifted slowly up towards the tops of the trees. So magnificent!

The magical forest in Verona is filled with all manner of elementals and magical beings. I’ve seen them! If one looks closely, there are outlines of dragons sleeping at the top of the trees. On midsummer’s night, I’ve seen the fairies dance with the lightning bugs/fireflies, beaming rainbows of colors. It truly is one of the most magical spaces I’ve ever had the privilege of visiting.

Many Blessings,
